K. D. Weldon, Sr. is married to the lovely L. Renee Weldon of Sacramento. They have 3 children–Chelsea Jynesse, Krysten Brianna, and Kelvin, Jr.
Pastor Weldon is an accomplished Choral Director who has worked with the following national artists–the Later Reverend James Cleveland, Reverend Darryl Coley, Bishop Walter Hawkins, Arvis Strickling-Jones and “Genesis” of Sacramento and has recorded with Clarence Eggleton and the Sacramento Metropolitan Choir.
Pastor Weldon accepted the call to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in July of 1993 and preached his first Sermon on the fourth Sunday in August of that same year to an overflowing crowd of people at the Genesis Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of the Late Reverend Dr. Robert Porter. Genesis served as a great training ground for Pastor Weldon, who also served as a Choir Director.
Pastor Weldon is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Bible College and has a Doctorate of Letters from the St. Thomas Christian College. He is also a 10th year student of the WHW Expository Preaching Conference.
For the past twenty-two (23) years he has been the Pastor of Harmony Missionary Baptist Church of Sacramento, CA
